CLINICAL INTAKE THERAPIST

Columbia, Missouri

*License required as: PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, PLMFT. MFT, PLP, or LP

What you'll get to do:

The Clinical Intake Specialist will complete an initial screening and evaluation for individuals across the lifespan seeking mental health services at Burrell. As part of the initial evaluation, an initial treatment plan and a provisional mental health diagnosis will be established. The Clinical Intake Specialist will provide referral recommendations for relevant services within Burrell programs, and may engage in safety planning and/or provide brief therapy/bridge sessions as clinically appropriate.

What you'll bring:

Your experience and knowledge in behavioral health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders will be utilized in the clinical treatment, coordination of care, accurate documentation, and client centered care. You will assist in welcoming individuals into Burrell services and facilitating engagement with services designed to support one's pursuit of wellness and healing.

Education and Experience:

  • Must possess at least Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field and at least 2 years of relative experience.
  • Requires Missouri state license as one of the following:* Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)* Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC)* Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)* Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)* Licensed Psychologist (LP)* Provisionally Licensed Psychologist (PLP)* Provisionally Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (PLMFT)* Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
