We are currently seeking a Crisis Specialist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Zero Suicide initiative. Provide client follow-up, monitor and track data information, complete data tracking reports and document all required information in the electronic health record. Provide follow-up and complete the identified risk assessment when necessary to potential clients who have presented with an elevated risk level. Provide phone, face-to-face, and mobile crisis intervention as clinically appropriate and document all contacts on appropriate forms. Provides individual, group, family and/or other practical counseling, utilizing his/her experience and ability to meet the needs of the client and the goals of treatment, and engages in any other activities that meet those needs and goals. Assess and facilitate admission to the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, as well as, assess clients wishing to be discharged from the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit for dangerousness. Consult with area law enforcement and/or hospital emergency rooms and advise regarding alternatives for disposition of non-Burrell clients and Burrell clients. Participates in and contributes to the various staff development activities of Burrell. Provide crisis intervention services and participates in emergency services in order to provide rapid aid in cases of emotional crisis Attend scheduled conference calls, webinars, face-to-face meetings/trainings, and individual and group supervision. Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Services or designee.
