The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking an exceptional candidate for our Owner's Engineer - NextGen MURR position. This position will report to the NextGen MURR Program Director and will be initially responsible for managing university-generated technical inputs in the programming, conceptual design, preliminary safety analysis report, and construction permit application phases of the NextGen MURR project.
The Owner's Engineer will support the Program Director in technical engagements with the prime contractor (reactor design firm) and prepare summary reports suitable for university executive review outlining the ongoing status of the project deliverables. The owners engineer may also be delegated signing authority on behalf of the Program Director or the University regarding canvassing university stakeholders and/or providing design input requested by the prime contractor, or in approving routine invoices, budgets or expenditures.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $140,000 per year
