General Information: Hitachi Energy is seeking a developer that specializes in delivering the Microsoft Power Application / Power BI solutions in a manufacturing environment for its Jefferson City, MO location. This role is responsible for evaluating, designing, implement, and supporting business reporting solutions that will be used by all business areas to manage operations and to identify business operational problems.

Your Responsibilities:

• Data Retrieval and Analysis:
  • Retrieve and organize data from various sources, including ERP systems (such as IFS or SAP), production databases, and other relevant platforms.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Build complex dimensional data models and reports from the bottom up
• Report / Dashboard Design and Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports usingMicrosoft Power BI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
  • Create dynamic and user-friendly reports that provide actionable insights for manufacturing operations.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Work closely with upper management, manufacturing teams, and IT departments to ensure alignment on data-related initiatives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, providing clear explanations of complex data insights.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in data collection, reporting processes, and data quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to business intelligence and manufacturing analytics.
• Training End-Users:
  • Develop and provide end-user training and support.

Your Background:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field.
• 3+ years of proven hands-on development experience with Microsoft Power Applications, with at least 2 years developing Power BI solutions, is required.
• 3+ years of proven experience creating and maintaining data models used in Power BI solutions.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills used in the development of Power BI Solutions.
• Good oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Agile, SQL, SAP, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Reporting is desired.
• Microsoft Certifications - Power BI Fundamentals and Power BI Data Analyst Associate is highly desired.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
