SALARY: $32.82 - $53.57/HR
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS: $2.00/HR for evenings, $2.50/HR for weekends, $3.00/HR for call.
BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Supervisor, Radiology will supervise the staff of a specific Radiology area, providing quality patient treatment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Do periodic performance evaluations on technologists. Perform quality assurance program procedures including shipment checks to ensure proper radiation safety standards are adhered to for those working with or exposed to ionizing radiation. Coordinate operating room coverage, portable radiography, fluoroscopic, and other patient flow through the department. Act as a contact person for other units scheduling patients for treatment in Radiology. Monitor patient flow regarding patient well-being, and timeliness, and answer patient inquiries. Supervise or assist with instructing Student technologists and ancillary personnel. Maintain skills and update knowledge through continuing education and instructive training. Participate in committees or special projects as requested or assigned. Perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist when carrying out examinations ordered by a physician. Perform related work as assigned. Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care. Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

General supervision is received from the Practice Manager or Manager, Radiology.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Functional supervision may be exercised over a small number of technologists, support staff, and/or students.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification. Three (3) years experience as a radiologic technologist or in radiation therapy.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree. One (1) year of specialized experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
