Salary Range: $71,676 - $106,121/year - final salary based on experience

JOB DUTIES

Responsible for assisting the cellular therapy laboratory program with the design and implementation of the BMTCTP quality plan, including production and review of the standard operating procedures (SOPs), performing audits for the transplant program, including an audit of day-to-day operations per the SOP manual and an audit of the quality plan.

Coordinate with the medical and laboratory lead on all continuing education programs including review of training and competency and remain current on all FDA, FACT, and AABB regulations in regard to cellular therapy.

Assist the cellular therapy laboratory staff with all data acquisition, entry, and auditing.

Serve as the BMTCTP lead representative along with the medical and laboratory lead for all accreditation site visits.

Facilitate and assist with process improvement initiatives and quality controls for the program.

Assure that systems and processes are in place to achieve and maintain accreditation requirements.

Serve as primary liaison to external and internal regulatory quality and patient safety initiatives and coordinates service line participation as appropriate.

Reports regularly on the Quality Program to the BMTCTP leaders, and others as appropriate.

Demonstrate effective application of risk assessment, risk mitigation, leadership, relationship building, decision making, execution, and accountability.

May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Working knowledge of accreditation requirements and other healthcare regulations that impact quality and safety initiatives.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to support accreditation, SOP, and quality related responsibilities.

Ability to facilitate groups and work in a collaborative manner.

Demonstrated success in working with physicians and other clinicians.

Education and experience in measurement and benchmarking.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in healthcare management or a technical field, or a substitution of equivalent years of experience in significant process improvement skills and abilities related to clinical healthcare, clinical quality, and safety.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
Three (3) years of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years of clinical experience is highly preferred.
Advanced degree in a relevant area related to healthcare clinical quality and patient safety.
Experience in cellular therapy or bone marrow transplant.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
