Job Description

As a Payroll Partner you will be responsible for processing of payroll for the North America region (U.S., Canada and Mexico) as well as expats.

Ensures accurate calculation of wages, multi-jurisdictional tax withholdings and company deductions, as well as proper governmental and departmental reporting and compliance.

You and Your Job:

As a Payroll Partner, you will be successful in the processing of payroll for the North America region (U.S., Canada and Mexico) as well as expatriates. You will ensure compliance, accuracy, and punctuality for all payments to employees and taxing authorities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
  • Prepare payroll related documents and compile data from payroll sources.
  • Maintain documentation of current payroll processes and procedures
  • Prepare payroll account reconciliations and other relevant payroll reporting.
  • Maintain current employee data and ensure all payroll information & records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during payroll data examinations
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the payroll functional mailbox
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing employee questions related to payroll and taxes timely, escalating complex issues to senior staff, as needed
  • Aid the payroll manager in identifying discrepancies, errors, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to payroll process improvements, system upgrades/enhancements or other initiatives
  • Stay informed about policies related to the taxation of salaries, benefits, and other payroll factors.
  • Counsel managers and employees on payroll-related HR practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Interact closely with Legal regarding special leave of absence circumstances, negative employee behavior situations, employee severance packages, and accurate Legal verbiage in company policies to create the right business climate of respect and consistency
  • Handle sensitive employee situations in a confidential, trustworthy and professional manner.

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the Payroll Manager role, you must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience including:
    • proficiency with payroll software, particularly ADP Workforce Now and Workday
    • Multi-jurisdictional tax experience
    • General ledger expertise related to payroll transactions
  • Knowledge of labor law regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or related field

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range:$75,000 - $95,000

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]'s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular position includes all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
